Over the years, I’ve found myself documenting my holidays, or day trips, through photographs and journal entries. These are fabulous mementos for me, and pretty much only me — not even my hubby and travelling companion, Steve, truly gets to share our travels through my eyes or thoughts. And, many others have asked about our wanderings near and far. So I jumped into the 21st century back in June of 2012 with our trip to Beaune, France and created this blog about where I go, what I see, and what impresses me (or doesn’t) about where I visit.
In the past few years, I’ve included “events” that are not related to travelling but thought they were worthwhile to document for myself, if not for others.
And now, as I settle nicely into retirement, I’m embarking on an artistic journey that I never, in my wildest dreams, thought I would realize.
This blog is a continuing work in progress. Just when I got comfortable with the software, we upgraded it and the changes were extensive enough that I basically had to start all over. So, formatting may not be perfect but the content is all mine as I continue to learn how best to communicate in a meaningful and entertaining way for others.
Posts will continue on a random schedule, depending on either my travels — near or far — or what’s going on in my life that I’d like to share. I hope you get some kind of enjoyment from reading them.
I am pleased that Steve referred me to your blog. Timing is opportunist being Saturday morning and I have a few hours this morning to browse, read and enjoy.
Safe travels
Brenda
Hi Brenda. We are home from our wonderful vacation and I’ve added several more chapters. (I also edited a few of the earlier ones.) I still have a few more to go but, if you’re wondering what to do on a rainy day, you may want to revisit my blog. Hope you’re well. Maureen
